Sure , 80% of the time, they might decide correctly, on open and shut cases..but many times, you have racist blacks who acquit black defendants no matter what, or you have idiots who rule against an entity just because they want to stick it to them, etc. We need to have several thousand trained jurors who do nothing else, who are trained in law, ethics, historical common law, constitutional law, etc, and keep the toothless hags out of the goddam jury boxes.
