What is the difference between college drunk and business drunk? I'm just wondering what the difference between college drunk and business drunk is. |
College drunk tends to imply so drunk you pass out and/or vomit everywhere, cannot remember the night the next day, have a splitting hangover, and vow you will never drink again. Next weekend: repeat.
Business drunk is not drunk. One drink, conversation, your goal is to enjoy your company and stay professional, not to consume your weight in alcohol. The max you should feel is a buzz, and even that is pushing it.
Good luck in your endeavors! |
Do you ever go to college drunk? I was wondering am i the only one who has to drink 2-3 beers in the middle of colllege. To be intrested in being there. i also work better lol So my question is do you ever go to college drunk? |
| oh definately. I did it all the time in college haha but what I liked more was going to class high. Smoking pot inspires creativity and I kept on track more often. The only problem I had with both was that I couldn't stop laughing at my professors' stupid jokes!!! :) |
How many times have you gotten drunk in college? I'm going to be a sophomore in college. I never started drinking until 2nd semester of my freshmen year, which was this past January. However, in discussion with my mom, she was shocked to find out I'd been completely drunk 5 times. (She was only drunk twice in college.) I've always been the "good girl" but once I realized how much fun I was missing by not partying, I kind of have gotten into it. The only times I've gone out to parties and decided to drink, I've gotten drunk. There hasn't really been an in-between. I'm either drunk or sober. Am I setting myself up for becoming an alcoholic? Or is it natural for college guys to drink this much? |
I think you're at the age of exploration and finding your limits, so don't be too hard on yourself. But there are some things you should always keep in mind:
1 Imparment begins with the first drink. The first thing to go is your ability to reason, which is why you're going for another, than another, etc., and later questioning your ability to stay in control when your sober.
2 Despite it's legality, alcohol is a drug, and a serious one that can be fatal. Avoid shots - I know it's hard in such an environment - but too much too soon is very dangerous. A glass of water between drinks will keep you at a safer pace and help avoid hangovers. Try arriving late to parties since knowing when to leave early in such a haze can be out of the question. Hang out with groups of friends you trust, someone else may need to have your best interest in mind while you are impared.
3 Never, ever, ever drive when you've been drinking, or get into a car with someone who has. Your adult life is just starting, you don't need to deal with a DUI or worse.
4 A lot of people have a lot of fun totally sober.
5 Alcoholism is a genetic illness. Either you're wired for it or you're not, and nothing will change that. Though some who are not "true" alcoholics may become psychologically dependant. If you find you're becoming out of control, or continue to question your own behavoir, you may need to choose not to use alcohol.
Have fun, be careful, and find your boundries. Drinking in the environment you're in will be a battle against peer presure, which comes in many forms, some quite subtle. Be strong. |
What is a common type of beer that gets drunk at college parties? I not in college or anything right now, I am just wondering. Do they drink light beer? reg? what company is a usual |
| cheap canned beer |
Would you make fun of someone whoses entering college and has never been drunk? So if someone was about to go into college and had never been drunk, would you tease them or think they were weird/inexperienced?
Do you know anyone who would? |
| No, I would actually respect them. I'm in college and don't care to get drunk. It ruins lives... |
How will being caught drunk driving affect my friend's college plans? My friend is a senior in high school and she recently got accepted to Pomona College, one of the very prestigious Claremont Colleges in California. Last night she got caught drunk driving. She is seventeen, so still a minor. How will this affect the rest of her life and specifically her college plans? |
If the offense was committed in California, the case should be adjudicated in Juvenile Court and the record will be sealed. She must immediately consult an attorney who is familiar with drunk driving in Juvenile Court so that the case can best be handled in her interests.
If it was committed in another state, she also needs to see an attorney immediately. |
Was the Democrat Congressman, that attacked the college students, drunk at the time of the incident? The video is all over the internet, I don't need to link to it. |
| Wow it amazes me that these demolemmings can call an obvious assault a made up lie. You demolemmings answering this question suffer from delusions. I have even seen your own party say no one is defending this guy. I guess they missed you morons. |
Is it illegal to carry alcohol or be drunk on college campuses? As long as it's concealed and you're not belligerant and you're 21? |
| It may or may not be illegal depending on which campus. I am confidant it violates a school rule and could get you suspended or permanently kicked out. BTW drunk in public is against the law most everywhere. This would be why sorority houses are off campus, DUH !! |
When you see a drunk girl at a college bar? When I see drunk girls at a college bar/club, most of them are just begging to be F.ed It's like if you don't take her, some other guy will do her sooner or later. Do you feel the same way? because that's all I see. |
Not most of them but a lot of them, yes.
And yes, I used to take full advantage of that fact! |
